Is Invisalign right for me?

Dr. Magnuson is a Certified Invisalign Provider. She will determine if Invisalign is right for you.

Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable “aligners” to move teeth. They look a lot like clear retainers. Invisalign aligners are designed using 3-D computer imaging technology. This technology has been around since 1996 and has been proven effective. Recently, Invisalign has introduced new mechanical strategies, making this system more efficient and predictable than in the past.

What makes it popular?

Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible and, of course, removable. You can take them out for eating and brushing. You can also remove them for specific social situations. The aligners are smooth, comfortable and easy to get in and out of your mouth.

How does it work?

A series of custom made aligners are created for you. You wear the aligners as much as possible, removing them only to eat, brush or floss. You change out the aligners every few weeks and your teeth will gradually move into their final positions. Compliance is the key to treatment with Invisalign. If you don’t wear your aligners, your teeth won’t move. You’ll visit our office about every 6 weeks to fit new aligners and monitor your progress. Just like with braces, treatment times with vary according to the severity of your bite problems.

Case 5, After

Invisalign Teen

Invisalign teen uses compliance indicators to track how often your child is wearing his or her aligners. Invisalign teen also accounts for lost aligners, allowing up to six replacement aligners at no charge. Invisalign allows your teen to feel confident about their smile all the way through treatment. Brushing and flossing is easier than with braces and the aligners can be removed for playing a sport or instrument. Dr. Magnuson will review the pros and cons with you before making a recommendation.
